Clear Harbor Named Employer of the Year by Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce
Brand mirroring approach allows Grenada-based customer care agents to pursue mastery of the global brands they represent
ATLANTA, GA – November 26, 2018 – Each year, The Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GCIC) celebrates local businesses that provide an extraordinary employment experience and excellent products and services, both locally and overseas. At the 30th annual GCIC Business Awards for Excellence ceremony, held Saturday, November 17, in St. George’s, Grenada, Clear Harbor was honored by The GCIC with the 2018 Employer of the Year award.
Employer of the Year is awarded to the company that has demonstrated excellence in areas including financial growth, productivity increase, investment in staff recruitment, retention, training and development, staff progression for promotions, work environment, inclusive management techniques, knowledge sharing, and empowering staff to improve customer service.
“We are honored by this award and grateful for the opportunity to operate our business in Grenada,” said Grey Wood, CEO of Clear Harbor. “Our associates represent many segments of Grenadian society. Their warmth, friendliness, and natural desire to help others solve problems makes them very good at customer service and supporting roles.”
“Our workforce in Grenada includes a large number of associates that have been with Clear Harbor since its inception,” said Paul Rubner, General Manager of Clear Harbor’s Grenada operations. “Many of them have advanced from entry-level positions to senior leadership roles within the organization. Our goal in developing our customer care agents is to progress them toward a level of mastery of a client brand that gives them the knowledge and skills needed to perform as well or better than the direct employees of the brand itself.”
Clear Harbor strives to be employer of choice in the regions where it operates, offering associates experiences and benefits that include:
- World-class customer service training
- Ongoing team-building and leadership development workshops
- Promotion opportunities (95% of promotions awarded to existing employees)
- Regular pay increases and performance incentives
- Awards recognizing high performance and contributions to the business
- Flexible shifts and performance-based scheduling
- Opportunities to give back to the community through Clear Harbor Cares
- Health insurance, transportation and other benefits
Clear Harbor began operations in Grenada in 2007. Since that time the company has grown to become the island nation’s second largest private sector employer, creating hundreds of high-end customer service jobs that not only improve the local quality of life but also touch the lives of many others living far beyond the shores of Grenada.
